This is the app itself, with nothing saved. Same engine, same rules, same buttons as saidit.co/app — it just keeps no history here. It runs whisper-tiny.en, the small English model, inside this tab — which is why the first press downloads it, about 67 MB, once. Open devtools and watch the network while you hold the button.

Where is this going? Pick the mode — nothing detects it for you.

Slack, Teams, a comment box: chat does not end in a full stop, so we do not add one.

This pad is where the words go. saidit cannot type into Slack, Mail or your editor — no browser lets a page do that — so Copy is the last inch, and it is one ⌘V.

What we change, and what we don’t

Each of these is a rule, not a judgement — and each one is a switch. These are Chat's settings. Whatever you switch off, what you actually said is always kept.

Turn spoken punctuation into marks"comma" becomes "," — off, and the word stays the word.Take filler words outum, uh, erm, you know, I mean — and nothing else.Apply your dictionaryThe entries below, replaced exactly, nothing else touched.Capitalise sentencesThe first letter, the one after . ! ? and the pronoun "I".Add a full stop at the endOnly when you did not finish on a mark yourself.

Your dictionary

Names, jargon, acronyms, addresses. Whole phrases, replaced exactly, and nothing else gets to touch the result — the filler pass cannot eat the “ER” out of an “ER team” entry and the capitaliser cannot turn “iPhone” into “IPhone”.

What this cannot do

It cannot type into your other apps. No browser lets a page send keystrokes anywhere else, so the text lands in the pad and Copy takes it the last inch.
The hold-to-talk key only works while this tab is in front. A browser cannot listen while you are in another window.
English only, and recording stops on its own at two minutes.
